The Fault in our Stars by John Green-- Book Review

For Hazel, there has never been any "getting better". She is going to die from cancer and there is no question about that. So she gave up. She didn't do anything and didn't make friends. That was until her mother made her go to a cancer support group and she accidentally became associated with Augustus Water, who has been in remission. Now she seems to have a life again, but it can't all be okay because somehow cancer always seems to get in the way. 










I actually already knew the end of this book before I got near it because I was reading on my kindle and it skipped all the way to the end and I literally read one line by mistake that gave away the whole ending. Don't be like me. Control your kindle. It had one of those endings that if you knew it was coming, it made the book less good because you just spent the whole time reading it being upset. Be careful. Don't accidentally read the end. I beg you.

So, back to the book. It was good. It was really good. I don't know why but I'm having a difficult time coming up with things to day about it (so this review may be really short--sorry!!). TFIOS is a really well written book. One thing I always notice about John Green books is that they have the cutest and best quotes. For example, "that's the thing about pain... it demands to be felt" (and yes, I have that memorized, sad I know). He writes in a beautiful way with quotations that just make you feel things. Sometimes sad, sometimes happy, and sometimes like you're going to cry because you just ship it so hard. I liked the writing.

The characters were really good too. I think I am literally in love with Gus. He was pretty cool. Isaac was just funny. Hazel was ehhhhhhh. They were creative characters. The one thing I didn't like about the way he wrote his characters was that Hazel and Gus didn't really sound like teenagers. They just said things that most teenagers don't say. Though, in defense, none of the other characters really talked like them so it is possible that it was just their thing.

OK. I hate to do this, because I loved this book soooo much, but I have one thing that really turned me off about TFIOS. It was very manipulative. We had this whole long story where Hazel was probably going to die but we knew everything was going to be fine because she had Gus and now she could die with closure and all that exciting stuff and we were going to be happy but cry because it was still going to be sad, and then BAM our hopes are ruined. It was so ridiculous like that. I felt like John Green wrote the ending wanting to make poor little 13 year old girls cry. It was annoying, and it was a stupid ending for that.

Nice book. I liked it. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Why was this review so hard to write? I don't know. Sorry, I feel like this was a rambling review. O_o

Looking For Alaska by John Green--Book Review

Mile "Pudge" is sick of his normal life. So he decides to go to a boarding school to try and find what is out there in the world. And as if his new school isn't interesting enough, it just got a whole lot more interesting because down the hall lives Alaska Young. Pretty, smart beautiful, screwed up Alaska Young. And Pudge can not seem to stop thinking about her. Alaska walks into his quiet world and changes it forever--but after her nothing will ever be the same. 










I would like to start by saying that these two gifs can perfectly describe my brain throughout most of the book:

So yeah. Sometimes, the characters in this book were making me cry and be sad, and then other times I did the whole "nobody cares" rainbow thing. LFA definitely gave me pretty conflicting emotions at times.

I read this book because it had really good reviews, and I had just finished The Fault in our Stars (review to come!!!) which is also by John Green. So I started reading and let me tell you, John Green is a very pretty writer. All of his lines are either very clever or very beautiful. I find that funny because he is also a Youtuber so he must be pretty silly along with being really deep. And another thing about this book is that it doesn't really fit well into one category of books. It isn't really a comedy because it's also sad and dramatic, but it also isn't really a drama type book because it's really funny. It's kind of difficult to explain what it is but really it is just sort of genius.

John Green writes very good characters. Pudge was well developed, and changed and grew into a better person through each experience in his life. He was messed up a little bit by everything that happened, but he was normal. He wasn't crazy. He wasn't over the top. He was normal. He did things that normal people do! He freaked out, he moved on, he was sad, etc. He was a really, really good protagonist. Now I wanna talk about Alaska. Oh, Alaska. She was interesting. I feel like John Green may have done a little bit of what I like to call the "Scarlet O'Hara Effect" (Scarlet O'Hara Effect: making a main character, who other people seem to like but we think are really not very nice) on Alaska, because she was just one of those characters who we liked, we just didn't think she was very nice.

Lastly, before I rate LFA, I wanna take one second to bring up Takumi and his fox hat. I just have to say that it was the funniest tiny little few lines of dialogue I have EVER seen in a YA book. It was soooooo funny. If you haven't read the book, when you do you will know what I'm talking about. If you have read the book, you know ;). I just had to say that. Back to the review.

This book rocked. It does have some not quite appropriate elements to it, so I would suggest that parents read it before letting their kid read it, especially if the kid is under the age of 15 or 16. I would recommend it for people who like to cry and to laugh and who love a good book! 5 out of 5 stars!

Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg

Levi and Macallan are best friends, and they have been since Levi moved to Macallan's town in the 7th grade. And they are happy being best friends, not complicating their whole relationship. 
But recently it has gotten more complicated. Boys won't ask Macallan out because they always think she is dating Levi. And maybe Levi spends a little too much time joking around with Macallan and not enough time out with his date. But through it all they just keep reminding themselves: we are better off friends. But is it true? Are they really just best friends?











I got an ARC of this book from a friend of my mom, and I thought the title was kinda cool. I have a lot of guy friends, and people seriously like to tick me off by making those annoying, "You two are totally dating" type comments, so I thought that this book might be one of those it happened to me kinda things. So, I picked it up pretty quickly.
I must tell you, from the first page I was hooked. Macallan was a refreshing voice. She was damaged, but not to a point where I found her at all whiny or only letting her life revolve around the bad thing that happened to her (which I won't say because *imitate River song* SPOILERS!!). Levi was just downright adorable! He was funny and sweet, but not unrealistically. He is actually getting added to my list of best fictional males.
I would like to take a minute here to appreciate Elizabeth Eulberg's fabulous writing in this book. What I found soooooo amazing was that the book started when the characters were all in 7th grade and went all the way through high school, and the voices of all the character changed in realistic way as they grew up. When they were seventh graders, I seriously could have believed the dialogue was written by some seventh graders. Same thing as the book went on. When they were eighth graders, they sounded like a bunch of eighth graders. When they were in high school, they sounded like a bunch of high schoolers. I also thought it was nice the way the characters gained and lost friends in a way that really happens in school.
So, I liked this book! It was funny, and sweet. I genuinely enjoyed it, and I can't wait for it come out so that I can make my friends read it and then blab about it for hours (which I do actually do!!). When this book comes out in March, scoop it up immediately and be expecting a great read! 4.5 out of 5 stars!! Thanks for reading!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

For Cath, being a fan of the popular book series Simon Snow is her life. She and her sister used to eat, sleep, and breath those books. But now her sister has left the fandom, the only thing is Cath does not want to let go. Now her sister refuses to be her roommate (or her friend, for that matter) at college. Cath finds herself lost in the confusion of family, friends, boys, and her fandom. 






        This book was amazing. For all of you have read any of my previous reviews, you can verify how much I like most books. I generally try not to read books if I don't think I will like it. But this book I really liked. In fact, this may be one of my favorite books of the year. Now, this book got to me through my mom. She read it, and because me and my sister usually act like crazy obsessed fangirls, she told us both to read it. I went into it already knowing I would probably like it because it was getting great reviews and sounded really funny, but I clearly didn't have a clue about how much I would like it. It was hilarious, adorable, and told in a real way what it was like to be crazy and obsessed with a book.
        I would like to talk about the writing here. It was a great and adorable story, but it was also just very well written. The characters were all pretty believable, and I felt reacted in a way that most people would. The writing was also just, in a way, beautiful. There were a few scenes that didn't really have that much drama or anything super exciting going on, but the way they were written made them seem amazing. A lot of the main character's problems weren't really that intense. She did have huge family issues, and some friend and boy confusion, but there were times where she was freaking out about her fanfiction. In scenes that were like that, if it was poorly written I would have been saying something along the lines of, "Oh who cares? Just grow up and deal with it!" but because of the way it was written, at times like that I often said things like, "Awww! Poor girl!". It actually made me feel something, and a lot of that is thanks to Rainbow Rowell's writing.
        As I almost always end up doing, I'm now going to do a whole long, boring paragraph about how much I loved the main couple. And I'm sorry to do this again, but i'm going to have to. I was in love with Levi and Cath! They were a great couple, and really worked well together. They had a well written relationship. Yes, they had their problems, but in the end, the way their relationship was created made me so happy. It just reminded me what it's like to be in love with anything (for me, it's all just books and movies).
        I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to have something to relate to, or something to love. It was just a happy book that even with it's sad parts, was still just mostly fun and happy. Another reason I liked it so much, was because the Simon Snow books they were all reading, reminded me of Harry Potter, which was just a nice thing to remember. You probably already saw this coming, but I give Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you for reading!

Waterfell by Amalie Howard

Nerissa is not your average teenage girl. She is from the underwater kingdom of Waterfell, where she would be queen, if an evil rival named Ehmora hadn't killed her father and left her stuck in the human world. Along with her friend (and protector) Speio, her BFF Jenna, Jenna's boyfriend Sawyer, and her crush Lo, she must find a way to seem normal but stay herself. But when the time comes, she must battle Ehmora and try to win back her throne--the only problem? Life keeps getting in the way.






I was a big fan of Amalie Howard's other book Bloodspell so when I received an arc of Waterfell, I immediately decided that I would read and review it. I am SO glad I got an arc of it, because it was AMAZING! I loved this story so much, I couldn't take my hands off of it. When I first saw it, I thought it was just going to be another mermaid book, but it totally wasn't. Not only was she not a mermaid, it was a totally different type of what an underwater city would look like. The story was totally unique and creative, and I don't think anyone could say it was copying anything.

I loved the way the story was structured. It had layers of how everything seemed to work, all building up to the final battle (which happened in the last couple of chapters). It started by introducing Nerissa's life on land with all of her friends and hobbies. Then, it began to talk about her life in Waterfell and how she would be queen. The giant chunk of the book was just her relationship with Speio and Lo and how she has conflict with her feelings for both of them. Let me just make on thing clear: there is not a love triangle in this book. There are little touches of the classic love problems that are often called love triangles, but there is not a dead-serious hardcore love triangle. 

The characters were one of my favorite parts of this book. I loved how likable the good guys were, and how much I despised the bad guys. Nerissa and Lo were super developed and deep. They both came as such clear pictures in my head and I knew so much about them.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for good read. It gets 5 out of 5 stars! Enjoy!

Fahrenheit 451

But all that changes on day when he meets the odd teenager from next door, Clarisse, who introduces him to a past where books weren't illegal and the world didn't live in fear. Suddenly, Montag's whole perspective on his job, his family, and his entire life has changed, and Montag finds himself wrapped up in a world of problems, regrets, and lies. 




I had to read this book for school, and at first I was not going to write a review because it was not a YA book or popular at this moment. It came out in 1951 and is now known as a classic book often read in schools. I decided to write a review just because if you were like me and had to read this book for school, it would be nice to have a heads up about what you were in store for. 

Fahrenheit 451's plot was clearly amazing and unique. The whole idea of the book is that information and books are illegal because the government believes that they cause conflicts and problems. It was very complicated at points, but in general, I was almost always aware of what was happening in the actual story. Ray Bradbury is an amazing writer, and uses tools like similes, metaphors, and descriptions very well and very often. The only real problem with the story was the occasional weird plot twists and confusing moments. 

I am not going to really talk about the writing, because Ray Bradbury was an amazing and old fashioned writer, and I do not intend on discussing his writing style and abilities. 

I didn't particularly find this book enjoyable. It was more of a book I would recommend to somebody looking for a great literature read. If you are looking for a fun, entertaining read, steer clear of this book. It was definitely educational. 

I give it 3 out of 5 stars, because it was an amazingly clever plot and very well written,  it just wasn't very fun or enjoyable.

Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman

Geena can't wait to get to spend her entire summer hanging with her best friend Amber and her favorite cousin Hero. The only problem? Amber and Hero hate each other, and the three of them are all stuck working together at the Triple Shot Betty Coffee Shop. But things between Amber and Hero especially heat up when the guy Amber likes asks Hero out. By the way things have been going, it seems like Geena won't ever get the nice summer she wants--especially if boys keep getting in the way!




This book was a nicely written, heartfelt story about the struggle of dealing with boys and bullies. It was funny and sweet, with just enough edge to make it fun and exciting! This book was filled with so much emotion that sometimes I felt like I wanted to throw the book across the room in anger at some of the things the characters did. I actually find myself getting very angry just writing this review and thinking about it! Jody Gehrman wrote this book so you felt so much for these characters. When Geena, Hero, or Amber were upset or mad, I couldn't help but find myself feeling that way too. I felt so much love for the "good guys" and was so mad a the "bad guys" that sometimes I felt like I didn't know what to do with myself. I would just sit there staring at the book mumbling, "wha-wha-what!?!"! The characters were very well written and seemed real and even though some weren't particularly likable, I still loved them.

The plot of this book was pretty good. Some of the plot points were definitely clever, unique and it benefited the story to put them in. Although, some of the other plot points (particularly some of the more inappropriate or gross ones) just seemed a little like filler moments, put in just to be inappropriate. Aside from that, the story line was fabulous and fun! I loved all the romance in the story. From the kissing to the fighting, I knew it would all turn out great for the couples. They were so cute! I won't say who the characters end up with because that would be a spoiler, but I thought they all ended up with the right person.

I would recommend this book to a friend for sure! It was written well and had a great plot. I would probably say not to read this if you don't like romance or are under the age of 13. There are definitely some inappropriate aspects to this book that would not be okay for little kids. But if you enjoy romance then you should definitely give it a try! I rate it 4 out of 5 stars because it was good, just certain plot points and moments seemed rather unnecessary. I am reading the sequel, Triple Shot Bettys in Love, and will be reviewing it soon. I am also reading Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451 so also look out for that review. That about wraps it up! Come back soon for more reviews and other material!

The Giver by Lois Lowry

Jonas' world is perfect. There is no pain or sadness. There are no decisions so nobody can choose wrong. His life seems to be going on a straight path, until the day when he is chosen to do special work with the Giver. Soon, Jonas discovers what pain really is, and that he has to do whatever it takes to save the one he love--which may mean abandoning somebody else in the process.






I had to read The Giver for English class, and because my older sister didn't like it, I figured I wouldn't. But after reading just a couple chapters, I was really into this book. The Giver is a riveting read full of adventure, love, and sadness. The plot rarely slowed down enough to lose my attention, but it wasn't to crazy and fast. Also, I felt like all the plot twists were predictable enough that I wasn't freaking out with shock, well still leaving enough mystery that I was surprised when it happened. It was a great balance of exciting and predictable.

I like to say, that in general, books either revolve around an amazing plot, or revolve around amazing characters. I feel like that in this book, Lois Lowry did a great job of doing both. She created such a fantastic world that was totally unique and creative. The Community appeared to be like a more organized and civil version of the Districts from The Hunger Games, but that was only a front put up by the Government. Actually, the Community was cruel and power hungry. The structure of the community fascinated me. The characters were fabulous too. I felt actual sympathy and love for the protagonists like Jonas, The Giver, and Gabriel, but felt so angry at some of the other characters. They all seemed so realistic and alive.

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend (though most of mine also had to read it). You probably shouldn't read it if you REALLY hate utopia societies, because this book is like the exact definition of a futuristic perfect society type of book. But if you do like that kind of stuff, you should totally give it a try. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I would have given it 5 out of 5, but at points I definitely felt like there were some unnecessary dramatic touches, and also that the beginning was kind of slow. Thanks for reading!! Beautiful Darkness

Ethan and Lena are back, but things will never be the same. Lena is changing rapidly. She spends more time with her evil cousin, dresses differently, has less time for Ethan, and is spending time with a mysterious incubus. She is slowly going dark, so can Ethan, Link, and a new friend named Liv save her before she chooses dark over light?

As all of you know I loved Beautiful Creatures, and this sequel was not a very big disappointment. I thought that Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl brought in a lot more emotion to the second book in the Caster Chronicles then they did in the first. I almost started crying when Lena was changing and being not nice to Ethan, and Link. The way they  made Lena so distant and lonely really spoke to me and changed my input on her. Instead of just seeing her as the sweet girl who would do anything to protect Ethan and her friends, I saw her as the dark, powerful, and dangerous girl she could be if she needed to. I also thought this book focused more on the power that casters and other creatures hold, and less on the romance portion of the story. Even though they didn't focus as much on the romance, the parts where they did focus on it were so sweet or hot I almost died. I've actually decided that I'm a bigger fan of Link and Ridely than I am of Ethan and Lena. I thought one of the best parts in the whole book was when they were in the woods and trees started to fall, and a big branch fell on Link. I liked it because when it fell on him, Ridely started freaking out and trying to pull it off him. I just loved that. I think Ridely really was tried to be shown as a more soft person in this book. In the first book, there was nothing I really liked about her, but in this I actually liked him.

I thought that the whole first quarter of this book was pretty unnecessary.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. 

Wonder

Auggie Pullman is not normal. I don't mean not normal like being different like most kids. I mean that Auggie has a big facial deformity. Auggie has also never been to school, until now. Suddenly, Auggie has to go to a normal school, try to make friends, and deal with some horrible people. But can a kid who thinks he's weird uncover that he's really a wonder?










I go to this bookstore called The Voracious Reader (really great bookstore, I highly recommend it) and the lady in charge told me about this book. So, I recommended it to my book club, and that was the book we read. Everyone really, really, loves it. Including me. I felt like it was a very important subject, that was handled in a way that was enjoyable and  informative. There was so much character and emotion to this story, that I felt so bad whenever someone was mean to Auggie about his condition. Things would happen and I would feel like bursting in to tears. Also, I read so many books with such great character, that I can't even remember the plot of the book. This book did not have that problem. I can remember the plot, and I felt ridiculously connected to Auggie, Via, Summer, Jack, and Justin. This book had such a great moral, plot, characters, and story. I could read this book over and over again and I would never get used to all the sadness, and happiness this book had. Auggie, Jack, and Summer were one of the best group of friends in any book I've ever read. When Jack started being mean to Auggie, I almost started sobbing right there at my desk. Then when you found out what really happened, and they became friends again, I was so happy. I love a friendship where they have a problem, but they can still work through it.

There was not a particular amount of action in this story, there was mostly feelings and problem solving. There was only one actual action scene, and that was the scene where the older kids started picking on Auggie, and his friends (and some other people who become his friends also) stand up for him. It turned into a big fist fight. I loved that scene because it was action filled, and proved that people really did like Auggie, but it also made me sad because it also proved how judging people can be of those who are different. I felt like there was some sadness that was just extra and was completely unneeded. For example, when the really bad thing happened to the dog, and when Miranda (A really good friend of Via's) started being really mean to Via. Considering all of the sadness and frustration from the side of the story about Auggie and all the people being mean to him about his facial condition, all this other stuff just made me depressed and annoyed.

I liked this book a lot, and I highly recommend it to children who can handle sadness, and enjoy books about feelings. It gets four out of five stars, and I hope you enjoy it!

Beautiful Creatures

In  Gatlin County, there were no surprises. At least, that's what Ethan thought. Turns out, he couldn't have been more than wrong. When Lena moves to town, Ethan discovers secrets that a buried hidden in Gatlin. And Lena and Ethan are running out of time to save they're happiness.





I absolutely adored this book. It was a flawless action filled with romance and comedy. I especially enjoyed the setting of Gatlin County. I thought the way Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl made it so nobody come to Gatlin County, and no one left because it made Lena moving there even more shocking and important. It wouldn't have been important if they had lived somewhere popular like New York City or Los Angles. I thought that was a very interesting idea, and it worked out very well. My mother lived in the south for her entire childhood including, being a teenager, and my grandparents still live in the south, so I go to southern places a lot. I thought it was really interesting to set a book in a southern town where it seemed very southern. I also loved the characters. Lena was way more interesting than so many other main girl characters, and was funny. Ethan was funny, sweet, and great guy. I thought their relationship was perfect. I can't possibly imagine a pair more perfectly matched. I totally can not wait until I can read the sequel (which will happen when I finally go to the library). I also can not wait until the movie comes out!

I loved this book, and once again it gets five out of five stars. I highly, highly recommend this, and it is perfectly appropriate for middle and fifth. Read it!

Out of Sight, Out of Time (Gallagher Girls #5)

Cammie Morgan has no memory of what she did over the summer. Nothing. When she returns to the Gallagher Academy, she is surprised to find out how different it has become. Zach is a student, Bex isn't taking to her, Liz and Macey are pretending to be nice to her, and Joe Solomon is always unconscious. Somehow, Cammie has to get her memory, but that becomes hard when everyone is trying to stop you.





I love this series so much, and this new edition was not a disappointment in any way. It had action, romance, comedy, and lots of suspense. There were times in this book where I was like, "I know this is going to happen!" and it would. Also, there were other times where I would go, "I have no idea what so ever what's going to happen next!" There was a lot of interesting plot twists. Most of these plot twists had to do with characters. This book changed my opinion on certain characters. This book gave me a lot of emotion. When Bex, Liz, and Macey were mad at Cammie, it broke my heart. Whenever I think of this series, I think of Bex, Cammie, Macey, and Liz as best friends. I thought that there was nothing that could tear them apart or ruin their friendship. But when I got to this book, I wanted to cry because everything I knew about these four best friends had changed, adn not in a good way. I loved Zach a lot in this book. There have always been two ways I thought of Zach: spy Zach, and boyfriend Zach. I felt like I got to see more of the boyfriend side of him in this book. In the last one, they had a lot going on, and he was very busy running around, so I saw more of the spy guy. But in this book, they spent a part of the book at the Gallagher Academy relaxing a little bit. Therefor, I saw more of the boyfriend. He got jealous, and acted really sweet. When he was acting really sweet, I just wanted to start cheering because he was acting like the best boyfriend ever! I loved that portion of the story so much.

As I said earlier, this book did not disappoint me in any way. This is true so I have no complaints whatsoever on this story. It gets five out of five stars hands down, and I really recommend this series for people who enjoy romance, action comedy, and girls kicking butt. Born at Midnight

Kylie has had a lot of crap dumped on her lap recently. Her grandma died, her parents are getting a divorce for who knows why, and suddenly someone is stalking her. The weirdest part is that no one can see her stalker, and because of it, her mother thinks she's crazy and is sending her to a camp that she believes is for troubled teens. But when Kylie uncovers the truth about the Shadow Falls Camp, she finds herself surrounded by dangerous creatures, and doesn't know what she is. Can she find out before it's to late?






I love the cover, and I love the book, so basically it was a double package. I thought it was a really creative idea for a book. It's kinda like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, except instead of Greek gods, these kids are paranormal creatures. I actually enjoyed this book more. Shadow Falls Camp was an exciting and interesting location for a book, and I loved all the teens there. Kylie, Miranda, Della, Derek, and Lucas were undeniably amazing and original characters. My favorite was Della (the vampire) because she was the funniest, most original, and interesting character. I also liked how she seemed all mean and sad, but turned out to be one of the nicest people at the camp. I loved all of the character C.C. Hunter brought into this story. Not only did she have great character, she had an amazing plot. That is something I really enjoy. On the subject of love triangles, this one was really written well. I honestly believed that she loved both the boys and couldn't decide. I've read so many books with love triangles where I had a very clear idea of who she was going to end up with. Here, I have absolutely no idea. I, personally, am on team Lucas. I guess I just have a thing for werewolves.

I really had nothing wrong with this story and highly recommend it. It gets 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for tweens and teens! Hope you liked my review!

Perfect You

"Vitamins had ruined my life." Says Kate. Her father has quit his job to sell Perfect You vitamins at the mall and is making Kate do it with him, her best friend became popular and is't talking to her anymore, and lastly, she has a huge crush on Will, the popular guy who has dated about half the girls in school. Is there a way for Kate to fix her broken life-without having a broken heart? 


































I've read another Elizabeth Scott book (Something, Maybe), and this one was not as good as it. In fact, I didn't like this one very much at all. I did, although, like the creative plot. For once the reasons why her life is terrible are not the same thing.  I have seen the best friend thing before more that the other two, but O.K. I also liked how not everything was solved, but she worked with it and became happy anyway. My favorite character was Kates brother Todd. He was funny, and liked to pick on his sister, but in the end of it loved her so much. He was so sweet. The grandmother was also really funny. She was funny in the ways of she was really ridiculous. I also liked how the dad seemed like such a great guy, but turned out to be horrible, and selfish. I would be like that mom and dump him.

I thought this book had no action. Barley anything happened where my heart was racing, or actually interesting. I felt like it started out really slow, and only picked up a tiny, little bit. I had a very hard time getting into this book, and I noticed I would pick it up to read, and not really want to be reading it. Aslo, I would read something, and I would read it, but not really know what was going on because I was that disinterested.

I do not really recommend this book. If you are really itching to read an Elizabeth Scott book, I recommend Something, Maybe. An age group would probably be from 14 to 17. I do feel bad, but this only gets two out of five stars.
